Clauses
Technical clauses and responsibilities
These clauses apply to all work carried out by Swisspool Liner, unless expressly stated otherwise in the quotation or signed contract.
1. General clause
Unless expressly stated otherwise in our quotation, all services, supplies, interventions or reservations mentioned in this document - when not included in the quotation - will be invoiced in addition to the client. (invoiced to the customer).
This clause applies to the entire document, even if the words "invoiced to the customer", "at the client's expense" or any equivalent wording are not systematically included.
2. Drainage, substrate preparation and post-disassembly inspection
The pool must be emptied before our arrival. Failure to do so may result in a charge for waiting hours for emptying.
Once the existing coating has been removed, we will check the surfaces to confirm their suitability as a substrate.
If defects are found (roughness, rust, masonry defects, etc.), corrective work may be necessary (sanding, coating, treatment), carried out by us or a third party. These interventions will be invoiced extra.
3. Basin structure
The pool must be ready to receive a reinforced liner, according to the following criteria:
- Perfectly smooth bottom and sides, with no visible grains or roughness.
- Coatings compatible with the reinforced membrane (no façade coatings or water repellents permitted).
- Right and sharp angles (especially vertical angles, steps, top/bottom of walls).
- Perfectly flat, smooth, relief-free top surface.
- HUNG profiles (where applicable) already in place and correctly installed.
In the event of non-conformity, a quotation will be provided. If this quotation is refused, Swisspool Liner accepts no responsibility for the quality of the installation, in particular adhesion, flatness (wrinkles) or durability.
4. Basin preparation
In the case of renovation work, the base and walls must be :
- Clean, dry, smooth and flawless.
- Cleaned with KARCHER (or equivalent equipment) and disinfected.
⚠️ If pond preparation is not included in our quotation, only dust extraction will be carried out.
5. Plastics, flanges, screws and fittings
For older pools, replacing flanges and gaskets can be a complex and time-consuming process.
Plastic components, absolutely all of them, can become dry, brittle or fragile over time (UV, products, frost, etc.) and through natural wear and tear. The same applies to seals.
- In the event of breakage, incompatibility or impossibility of reassembly, replacement is not our responsibility.
- Clamps are not included in our service. In the case of subcontracting, they must be supplied by the professional customer.
- If the flanges are no longer on the market, Swisspool Liner can offer to have them custom-made (machined by a polymechanic). The cost will be invoiced to the client.
- Corroded, blocked, broken or inaccessible screws and bolts will be subject to a reserve. Any costs associated with removal or replacement (e.g. locksmith's intervention, sealing, adaptation of the support) will be borne by the project owner.
⚠️ All flange holes must be clear (no cement or obstructions), and screw threads functional. In the event of non-compliance, additional work may be invoiced.
6. Risks related to the structure of light basins
Ponds made of sheet metal, steel panels or other lightweight structures require extra care when removing the coping or liner.
- Difficulties in dismantling may require additional work time, billed to the client.
- ⚠️ Risk of collapse: once emptied and deposited, a pond can collapse if the backfill is insufficiently compacted or unsuitable. This risk is particularly high for flexible or self-supporting basins.
Liability clause: Swisspool Liner cannot be held responsible for any instability, deformation or collapse due to structural or backfill defects.
7. Project modifications and direct labour
Any service not explicitly mentioned in our initial offer or quotation is excluded from the service and may be subject to :
- an additional estimate, or
- invoicing (time spent and supplies).
This includes :
- any request for modification, adaptation or addition made by the customer,
- any intervention imposed by a technical constraint observed on site,
- any unplanned work necessary for the proper execution or durability of the work.
8. Warranty
Swisspool Liner is covered by the manufacturer's warranty for the reinforced membrane used:
- Waterproofing guarantee (material) 10 years for 150/100e, 180/100e or 200/100e membranes.
